Spring Activities for Valley Pets

Spring has officially sprung here in the Valley. One of the best reasons to live in the Phoenix area is the amazing weather we get year-round. Now that winter is over, the sun is shining and you and your pup can get outside again. Before the weather gets too hot, try one of these pet friendly activities in the area.

Early Morning Hikes

With Camelback and South Mountain within driving distance, Phoenix is one of the best places to get outdoors and enjoy a hike. Both areas are pet friendly and offer a challenge to both of you.

March is still cool enough to hike during the day, but soon you will have to head out in the mornings or after sunset to avoid heat-related illnesses. Remember to bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Patio Season

There’s nothing better than getting together with friends and family for good food and drinks on a patio. Throughout the city, there are plenty of dog-friendly restaurants that are the perfect place to bring pups after a long week.

Visit places like OHSO Brewery and Postino for pet-friendly patios. They have locations all throughout the Valley so you’ll always have a place to stop, no matter what you’re up to that weekend!

 Farmer’s Market

Fresh vegetables, homemade crafts and other unique finds. Find all of these things at your local farmer’s market! Every Saturday, there are multiple locations throughout Phoenix that hold farmer’s markets. Dogs are welcome at all locations and make the perfect day date with your pup. There is often water accommodations for pets as well so you know they’ll be taken care of.
